Guided Tours

Guided tours of the Broad Street Campus are at 10:30am and 2:30pm Tuesday-Saturday, and  at 2:30 Sunday, subject to docent availability and weather outlook*. They last about an hour and a half, and include access to the interior of the Kershaw-Cornwallis House, McCaa’s Tavern, and the 18th-century Craven House in addition to offerings with general site admission. Both the Kershaw-Cornwallis House and McCaa’s Tavern are ADA accessible, however, the Craven House has a six step exterior stair. The guided tour also involves walking up and down a hill, however, permission to drive to the Kershaw-Cornwallis House (on top of the hill), is allowed for guided tours.

*NOTE: Due to limited staffing and periodic school tours/events that take up the site and the staff, we are sometimes unable to offer a guided tour. Also, if it is storming, we cannot take the tour for the safety of our visitors. Although we will try to accommodate visitors to the extent we are able, you may want to call ahead to confirm that a tour will be available on a given day. Thanks for your understanding!
